About Pennian Bank
Founded in 1864 as The First National Bank of Mifflintown by Edmund Southard Doty and his two nephews, the bank stood as a pillar of the community serving local businesses and residents.
In June 2017, the change from a national to state charter presented the opportunity for a brand change to reflect the bank’s growth. Pennian was chosen as a unique name, giving a nod to the bank’s strong Pennsylvania roots. From humble beginnings, Pennian Bank now has 10 offices in Juniata, Perry and Cumberland Counties, offering a wide variety of financial services.
Pennian Bank is committed to fulfilling the financial needs of the Central PA communities that we serve. It is our goal to bring you the highest level of customer service, while managing your account relationship with care and attention.
Pennian Bank, an independent, locally-owned and managed financial services institution, is the wholly-owned subsidiary of First Community Financial Corporation, a Pennsylvania corporation.
Our mission is to provide the banking and related financial services which meet the present and future needs of consumer and commercial customers located within Juniata, Perry, Cumberland and contiguous counties, including those of low and moderate income.
We place a high value on maintaining a strong financial position to assure our independence. We will combine steady growth, consistent earnings and firm control of risk factors to provide safety for our depositors and fair returns to our shareholders.
To the communities it serves, Pennian Bank pledges to be a good corporate citizen, contributing resources – financial and human – to efforts aimed at economic development and improvement in the quality of life.
To the customers we serve, Pennian Bank will provide an environment where customer service is the primary focus, and the efforts of every staff member will be directed towards making your banking experience easy and pleasurable.
